Everyone said it was the best house we had stayed in as a large family group. It was a perfect location for getting to Totnes which was important for us and as I said the views were amazing and the walks on the doorstep and opportunities for some of the party to run in the beautiful Devon countryside were an added bonus.

We also loved the upstairs lounge and log burner and to have such extensive en suite facilities made it all a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.’

It was great to just arrive and be able to walk straight in and get settled into the Shippon without having to go looking for keys or checking inventories or any other hassles, it felt like a real home from home from the very first minute and we were able to relax and enjoy the house and the beautiful surroundings straight away which is exactly what you want on a weekend break.

The added little touches of fresh roses in every room and the tray of delicious homemade Devon scones with jam and cream went down very well with all our guests. We could not have been happier with the accommodation, the whole house is well equipped and spacious, comfortable and very practical for a large groups of friends and family with an age range of 2 to 90. We will definitely be back and will be recommending the Shippon to other friends too.
