Totnes is a lovely town with a busy high street bustling with independent shops.

There is a fabulous local delivery service set up by a great greengrocer, it specialises in high quality grocery deliveries and if you want to shop locally this is the only place to go! http://www.totneslocalfoods.co.uk/

Nigel Pound formally owned the great wine shop in Totnes High Street, he now is independent and does a fabulous range of wines AND he will deliver. Nigel is brilliant I highly recommend. Otherwise there is a Majestic wine warehouse near the Morrisons Garage.

There is a number of butchers, I would recommend Halls (famous for their home made scotch eggs!) or McCabes or Halls Family Butchers on the lower part of the high street. You can get all meat and game that you might want for all those special meals.

Friday and Saturday morning has an amazing fish van on the market at the top of the high street.

And of you want to visit Totnes Market it runs every Friday and Saturday morning and is a lovely place to go and visit, potter and get a few things at, lots of foody stalls and other bit and bobs!

There are lots of health food shops and interesting little artisan outlets so please do support Totnes and take a bit of time to potter around.

If you have to get a big shop there is a Morrisions in the town.

Sainsburys, Waitrose and Tesco all deliver to The Shippon, please just ensure that if you would like a delivery on a Friday that you book it after you arrive or the cleaning team will take delivery between 11.00-13.00 (please order carrier bags otherwise they have to unpack your boxes which can take ages!).
