Exclusively for the Shippon

During your stay you have exclusive access to the two beautiful cedar hot tubs positioned on the deck in front of the house. No matter what time of day or night, you and your guests can soak up the views whilst enjoying a good soak! Come rain, snow or shine these beautiful additions will be available for your use all year round.

The private terrace in front of the Shippon has bench tables with parasols and two Webber coal barbecues for everyone to enjoy eating ‘al fresco’. There are numerous loungers and chairs for relaxing and soaking up the sun.

To one side of the Shippon there is a hard tennis court, whilst not match quality, its great for an amateur knock around and many a mini guest tournament has been enjoyed on it! There is a plan to change this tennis court into a pickle ball court in June 2025 – watch this space for this new sport which is proving hugely popular all over the globe. Behind the Shippon, on the top terrace, there is a play area with swings and a slide to the level below. Please note: there is no longer a trampoline available but we have put a basket ball hoop on the hard standing instead.

We have recently levelled an area in the field in front of the Shippon, this large grass lawn is now perfect for games of football and other sports (provided the weather is kind!) and enjoys some of the best views of the river and valley beyond.
